All signers of our card are eligible for a drawing for one free seat at an upcoming A Transformational Journey from Gettysburg program. We'll also select three winners who will each receive a $500 discount on a seat in an upcoming session.

Happy birthday Abe, I\'ve read an awful lot about you, I\'ve spent four wonderful years attending Gettyysburg College and even though I may appear that old, it was a few years after you magically enhanced all of us with your \"four score and seven years ago\" speech. After watching Mr. Spielberg\'s wonderful portrayal of you, I am now convinced that no more intelligent and amiable man may have ever lived on this earth than possibly my very, very good and personal friend, Mr. Stephen B. Wiley himself!!!!

Today we celebrate the 204th birthday of Abraham Lincoln, arguably our nation\'s greatest president. He was a man of extraordinary humility, magnanimity, faith, and grace. His greatness didn\'t spring solely from his enormous accomplishments of ending slavery and holding the Union together. His greatness also stemmed from his simple goodness. To mark his 204th birthday today, folks should reflect on his words, spoken at Gettysburg on November 19, 1863, for they are rightfully considered some of the most important---and beautifully lyrical---in American history
Bruce Pendleton2/12/13

Darieus A. ZaGara2/12/13
President Lincoln’s example of leadership is and was transcending, he may have been the first to realize what it meant to be transformational in nature. While motivated by personal ideals and morals he made decisions based on the collective good of the entire nation. Even in the face of separation of the union he chose to make decisions that would impact the greater good and the majority. None of this would have been possible had he not been the great orator that he was, his years of self-study and love for reading and storytelling led to his ability to dispel a point while tapping his vast knowledge of all great writers and poets. The reason this man stands out in time is that he has never been matched in history and may never be. President Lincoln is and will forever be the true father of this country.
Karen Citizen-Wilcox2/12/13
Happy Birthday President Lincoln!!

Happy B-Day! Some of my favorite Lincoln quotes: 1. “It is true that you may fool all of the people some of the time; you can even fool some of the people all of the time; but you can\'t fool all of the people all of the time.” 2. \"Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.” 3. “Character is like a tree and reputation its shadow. The shadow is what we think it is and the tree is the real thing.” 4. “I don\'t like that man. I must get to know him better.” 5. “He has a right to criticize, who has a heart to help.” 6. “I am not concerned that you have fallen -- I am concerned that you arise.” 7. “The probability that we may fail in the struggle ought not to deter us from the support of a cause we believe to be just.” 8. “Commitment is what transforms a promise into reality.” 9. “No man is good enough to govern another man without that other’s consent.” 10. “If you once forfeit the confidence of your fellow citizens, you can never regain their respect and esteem.”
Scott Brewster2/12/13
Lincoln\'s vision and leadership reformed our nation. He is still one of the most impactful leaders of our great country. Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Mr. President I hope to pass along your leadership and values to my children for our nation is challenged as in your time. As you spoke: \"All the armies of Europe, Asia and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest; with a Buonaparte for a commander, could not by force, take a drink from the Ohio, or make a track on the Blue Ridge, in a trial of a thousand years. \"At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide.\"
